Our Public Works Team will be out this afternoon pre-salting in preparation for the freezing rain and drizzle.

WHAT…Freezing rain and freezing drizzle are expected. Total ice accumulations are around one-tenth of an inch.

WHERE…In Illinois, Eastern Will, Kendall, Northern Will, Southern Cook, and Southern Will Counties. In Indiana, Lake IN, and Porter Counties.

WHEN…From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Thursday.

IMPACTS…Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions this evening.
