Dredging Update May 23, 2023

Wednesday May 24th
• Dredge America will be transporting additional fused pipeline (9am – 12pm) from South Shore Country Club parking lot into the lake to connect onto the south end up to Pine Crest Marina. Boaters can still boat through the southern end of the lake if they need access, but they just need to be extra careful and travel at no wake because the pipe will be moving from east to west as it is moved. After the pipe is moved there will be limited room on the south end of the lake and no way to cross through the area for a period of time in the late morning until the pipe is in its final spot and anchored down with the crossings.
• The remainder of the day will be working on installing the (2) pipe crossings on the south end of the lake between the booster pump in the middle of the lake and the south end as shown on the attached map. They will also be transporting/using equipment like the crane boat and the excavator (pictures attached). Please travel at no wake and keep a safe distance away from these operations and this equipment for the safety of the workers and the boating public. White buoy lights will also be getting installed on 100’ spaced buoys and green lights onto the green buoys at the 2 southern pipe crossings as well.
• Again, boaters are encouraged to avoid the southern portion of the lake tomorrow during the day if possible, but if traveling through proceed at no wake and with extreme caution as setup activities commence.
• Please inform the boating public on social media and the Town website of these updates.

Thursday May 25th
• Dredge boat is being delivered to Pine Crest Marina and will be dropped into the water with a crane. Additional minor land and water activities to set up will be occurring.

Friday, May 26th
• Remaining buoys, buoy lights, and barge lights will be installed by the end of the day if they have not already. Continuing with minor land and water setup operations.

Memorial Day Weekend
Dredge America is planning to have a few crew members in town keeping an eye on equipment and boating traffic to make sure things are looking good and are safe. They do not plan to be doing too much work in the water as boating traffic is expected to be very busy.
