Road Closure (W 141st Ave between Hobart St. and Wheeler St.)
The Town of Cedar Lake announces that construction will begin today, September 21st, on and in the area of W 141st Ave between Hobart St. and Wheeler St.
W 141st Ave will be closed with Detours posted. The Detour Route is W 133rd Ave. Expect delays and consider planning an alternative route. The project is scheduled to last through late November.
This is Phase 1A in a Stormwater and Roadway improvement project affecting the following roadways:
- 141ST AVE (CLOSED BETWEEN HOBART ST AND WHEELER ST WITH DETOUR POSTED VIA 133RD AVE)
- WHEELER STREET (LOCAL TRAFFIC & DELIVERIES ONLY)
- BERKLEY STREET (LOCAL TRAFFIC & DELIVERIES ONLY)
The entire project is a two-phase project that will take place in the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 to include:
W. 141st Avenue (from Hobart St to Corporate Limit)
Wheeler Street (from W. 141st Ave to Dead End)
Sherman Street (from W. 141st Ave to Dead End)
Berkley Street (from W. 141st Ave to Dead End)
Edison Street (from W. 141st Ave to Dead End/W. 140th Ave)
Rocklin Street (from W. 141st Ave to Dead End)
Marys Lane (from Edison St to Rocklin St)
Those roads not paved this fall will commence in the spring, and a new schedule will be posted when it does.
